The Director, Operations and Culture is a vital role within Quality, Ethics and Compliance.  Reporting to the VP, Quality & Compliance Strategy and Governance, this role will plan, coordinate, and execute the operational priorities of the business in support of the function’s established vision, strategy and objectives. The incumbent is responsible for managing all business operations for the function and for leading the enterprise quality culture program. The successful candidate will possess a combination of organizational and problem-solving skills while demonstrating a high level of self-motivation and enthusiasm. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Plans and facilitates leadership team meetings such that stakeholders are properly prepared, effective, and focused on the most relevant topics
  • Organizes, tracks and reports annual objectives for the function
  • Designs, plans, coordinates and executes town hall meetings
  • Collaborates with business partners to ensure control of budget, resources, time
  • Leads and/or manages special projects and initiatives, as appropriate
  • Designs, leads and executes enterprise and facility-level initiatives to strengthen quality culture
  • Creates succinct and inspiring communications that convey key messages to various stakeholder audiences including senior leaders

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • A university degree with approximately 10 years of relevant work experience. Various career paths could provide appropriate perspective, including diverse exposure within pharmaceutical/ biotechnology/ CDMO industry or business consulting
  • Strong working knowledge of quality and compliance principles in the pharmaceutical/ biotech/ CMDO industry
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, organizational, and project management skills 
  • Ability to establish, influence and work effectively with various business partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal, graphical and written communication skills with ability to present to various audience levels including senior management
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office and SmartSheet tools
