JOB SUMMARY 

The Senior Engineer will report to Senior Manager, Engineering. Role includes Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the following utility systems: HVAC, Chilled Water, Plant Steam with basic understanding and experience of clean water systems (WFI / RODI / Clean Steam).  Additional responsibilities include training and support for users, troubleshooting and resolving operational problems, and completing of process improvement projects. 

 

Position also requires Project Management experience.  Responsibilities within Project delivery may include the following: development of scope, design, cost and schedule development and control, project reporting, construction, and managing validation interfaces on assigned capital projects.

•    Demonstrates problem solving skills related to complex project execution and technical challenges
•    Ability to build and lead high performing cross-functional teams and show appropriate delegation of work assignments
•    Must possess strategic and tactical balance in organizing and planning skills required for planning and executing complex project work
•    Must exhibit customer focus and effectively communicate with peer-level partners, user groups, and senior management
•    Strong leadership required, encompassing effective communication, motivation, and team building/team performance skills
•    Develop and supervise a project management team capable of delivering defined project objectives. Responsible for mentoring and supports professional development of assigned personnel. 
•    In depth working knowledge of cGMP requirements, the design and construction safety business processes, including project management and contracts
•    Maintenance of quality systems and cGMP compliance for the business by ensuring that all team members comply with processes, procedures, and instructions for all activities in which the team participates

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
•    Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
•    In-depth working knowledge of GMP requirements, design construction, construction safety, business processes, including project management and contracts
•    Computer software skills; organization, record keeping, and planning skills; project management, time management
•    Strong communication and computer skills
•    Expert knowledge of engineering principles and concepts
