Sr Manager, Marketing Drug Substance CDMO

I: Job Summary
As a key member of the Marketing & Customer Experience team, the Sr. Manager, Marketing is a key contributor to the Contract Development & Manufacturing (CDMO) business unit’s market / brand awareness and image, responsible for driving the CDMO lead management process through qualification to proper hand off to Sales & BD. The individual is responsible for driving results in a fast- paced environment by implementing multi-channel marketing for the Biologics Drug Substance CDMO business in all spectrums of media.  This includes inbound/digital lead progression, marketing effectiveness tracking and reporting, tradeshow and event management, strategic targeting and segmentation, maintenance of marketing systems and processes, vendor relations, website management and external communications. This person will interact with internal and external clients and requires independence as well as creative thinking and teamwork.

II: Responsibilities (Include key responsibilities only. This is not be an all-encompassing list)
• Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns for the Drug Substance (DS) CDMO business while remaining aligned with enterprise goals and global communications team.
• Develop and implement marketing collateral and communication materials to effectively educate the market and promote Emergent.
• Build and manage content rich editorial and digital calendars including social media and webinars that remain on brand and aligned with global communications initiatives.
• Assist in developing and executing the display aspects of the Emergent brand including design, layout, construction and display of graphics for booth exhibits.
• Initiate and manage the development of new DS offerings and content including presentations, white papers, interviews, video and photo assets, and thought leadership, in collaboration with commercial development, sales and business development. 
• Research and recommend targeting approaches for appropriate markets, segmentation and cross-functional initiatives.
• Manage the design and consistency of CDMO webpages for DS, focused on continuous improvement of usability, design, content and conversion of leads to fill the sales funnel.
• Support and improve organic search SEO/SEM performance based on click through rates, traffic and conversions through email, social media, inbound marketing and advertising campaigns for Drug Substance. Track, measure and analyze ROI.
• Act as main point of contact and customer facing resource for CDMO brand and identity
• Support sales initiatives, maximizing inbound traffic by qualifying leads based on set parameters, passing along qualified contacts and opportunities to sales.
• Promote awareness of the Drug Substance technologies and customer service excellence through appropriately timed hand-off of qualified opportunities.
• Educate colleagues and build proficiency of Emergent’s CDMO service offerings, related to Drug Substance development and manufacturing.
• Maintain a working knowledge of overall company capabilities to drive collaboration across and within business units 
• Comply with Emergent CDMO sales operations and reporting processes and tools
III: Education, Experience & Skills
• BS/BA, in biology, marketing, journalism, health-related or technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in CDMO biologics marketing or related field.
• Experience in the healthcare/life science industry with customer facing or customer management experiences, preferably in sales or marketing.
• Proficient with sales and marketing automation tools such as Hubspot and Salesforce
• Experience with design and video applications a plus (InDesign, Illustrator) Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel at the least). Being familiar with Project and clinical study and data management systems a plus.
• Organize/coordinate, analyze/interpret, problem solve, make decisions, supervise, plan, communicate, prepare written communications, and prepare transaction documents.
• Work in multiple locations; up to 25% is anticipated.
