The Warehousing & Inventory Global Process Lead role (W&I GPL) ensures efficient end to end processes, to drive and maintain continual harmonization and optimization of Emergent Warehousing, Inventory Management and Material Flow through the Supply Chain.  Accountable for optimizing the utilization of warehouse space across the global supply network in, increase operational efficiency and reduce costs while meeting inventory management objectives. Enables Global Supply Chain strategies through achievements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•    Assess and consolidate warehouse operations to gain synergy and leverage current “in-house” capacities.
•    Design material flow between warehouse facilities and manufacturing site warehouses, ensuring end-to-end transaction accuracy.
•    Ensure warehouse operations compliance with respect to EHS, QMS and Inventory Management.
•    Improved collaboration with procurement and planning to efficiently manage through-put of warehouse (being limited physical capacity).
•    Design, champion, and deploy the end-to-end process enhancement vision and directional objectives for warehousing and inventory management process.
•    Lead cross functional teams including facility stakeholders and functional resources to achieve strategic directions.
•    Partner with other functional GBPLs and stakeholders in developing process improvement priorities, strategies, and resource plans to improve margins.
•    Manage specific projects to align and improve operational effectiveness to the Global Supply Chain centralized strategy. 
•    Develop measurable KPI’s and monitor the framework to gauge the timeliness and effectiveness of the improvement teams.
•    Identify, qualify, and manage change impacts and their implications on deployed processes.  Key evaluator of Process Change Management.
•    Participate in yearly budgeting and prioritization exercises.
•    Identify and drive system enhancements, requirements, and initiatives through to completion with project KPIs and score carding to ensure proper communication throughout Emergent.
•    Ensures creation of process documentation, proper policies, procedures, work instructions and training materials for all operational processes to the Harmonization and Standardization strategy.
•    Ensures training material loaded and assigned in Veeva training system.
•    Participate in testing and acceptance for all process and relevant system changes.
•    Understands functions and features of SAP modules in scope.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management or other related field.

Experience & Skills
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing operations 
•    Prior Biopharmaceutical experience preferred.
•    SAP experience preferred.
•    APICS or ISM Certification desired.
•    Multi Plant experience beneficial.
•    Experience in Continuous Improvement, Visual management, and Lean principles / concepts.  Comfortable with process mapping and value stream management.
•    Must lead by example through strong work ethics and high standards.
•    Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Suite.
•    Works well within teams, able to lead meetings with customers, stakeholders, and consultants across all phases of project lifecycle.
•    Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.  Activities address various aspects of engineering and related areas.
•    Excellent written, verbal communication skills with comfort in presenting ideas, updates, and requests.
•    Experience with leading teams through process improvement initiatives and implementing those solutions.
•    Experience in matrixed work environments.
•    Experience with implementing process and system changes, especially within a pharmaceutical environment.
•    Able to interface with leadership and individual contributors.
