Lead facility & maintenance administrative personnel and various service contractors at the Lansing campus.  Heavy focus on coordination of corrective and preventive work planning, capital project management, department documentation, and department budget oversight.

•    Coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance activities and ensure facility systems are maintained to an industry standard per standard operating procedures and established protocols.
•    Ensure scheduling, creation, and completion of preventative maintenance plans in SAP is performed.
•    The Facility Services Supervisor should have a strong working knowledge of the following: 

  • Boiler House operations: tunnels, plant stream, plant vacuum
  • Critical Utilities Systems: water for injection (WFI), pre-treatment systems, Clean Steam systems, and Clean Compressed Air systems
  • Metrology program and impact to customer and end users
  • AVA Engineering applications: Fermentor operations, Biological Safety Cabinets, HEPA filters, Fume hoods, Sterilizing and Decontaminating Autoclaves, Glassware Washers, filter integrity systems 
  • HVAC systems: Air handling units, chillers, re-heats, and HEPA filter certifications to include Terminal Filter, In-Line, and Laminar Flow HEPA filtrations and Building Air Balance certifications
  • Plant Electricals: load centers, transformers, in-coming plant voltages, and feeds
  • Equipment Life Cycles, Equipment Improvements, and Reliability Program Concepts and Implementation
  • Coordination with Vendors to support projects, certifications, and training

•    Work with department employees on improving and updating preventative maintenance procedures.
•    Complete, review, and route for closure engineering work requests in accordance with “Good Documentation Practices” to assure compliance with GMP.
•    Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, and files.
•    Oversee administrative personnel who perform cross functional administrative tasks for all facility and maintenance teams as well as assigned tasks for other departments as needed.
•    Assist in authoring deviations and/or change controls as directed.
•    Plan maintenance activities during facility shut-down periods including HEPA filter recertification.
•    Ensure the performance of grounds related repairs and upkeep.
•    Identify, and pursue, potential continued improvement activities.
•    Work well with others, build and maintain positive employee relations.
•    Will assist others in the Facilities & Maintenance department as needed

•    Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent related experience.
•    5+ years experience with critical utilities, steam plant operations in a Manufacturing environment demonstrating increased responsibility.
•    Knowledge of equipment, facilities, standards, techniques, policies, and processes.
•    Strong oral, written, and listening communication skills.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and use of telecommunications software.
•    Working knowledge of SAP.
•    Must have the ability to multi-task and coordinate workload by priority.
•    Must be customer service and quality driven.
