I.    JOB SUMMARY 
Development and Management of multiple engineering capital projects.  Provide leadership and direction to project team members and stakeholders to ensure that projects are aligned with good engineering practices, company strategies, quality and compliance requirements and business needs.


II.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•    Leads and manages multiple capital projects ($50K-$1MM) and initiatives simultaneously for various project sponsors and stakeholders using cross-functional project teams
•    Coordinates the development of project scopes and business justifications for project and aligns this with the project sponsor, project team and stakeholders applying appropriate standards, guidelines, regulations, and procedures.
•    Facilitates identification and generation of user requirements and uses engineering knowledge to guide stakeholders in understanding of trade-offs amongst cost, schedule, function, and risk 
•    Develops and formalizes baseline project management plans at execution level granularity of tasks, resource requirements, so that critical path and expenditures can be identified and managed. 
•    Facilitates and participates in the development of design and equipment RFPs, design packages and specifications, and design document reviews
•    Monitors milestones and task activities to ensure timely completion of project deliverables. Facilities effective meetings, uses communication and tracking tools, identifies and manages project risks and escalates project roadblocks sponsors and leadership. 
•    Manage communication flows to project sponsors, stakeholders, including team members, management, and functional organization.
•    Responsible for managing procurement and vendor/contractor selection, design reviews, constructability reviews, approval of submittals, field execution, commissioning protocol development and execution, oversight and review of validation plan and regulatory submission strategy, and turnover requirements to end user. 
•    Engage with other members of Engineering and SMEs on project teams to drive continuous improvement, knowledge transfer, and professional growth of both you and your colleagues
•    Identify areas to drive down project costs through lessons learned and develop specific improvement strategies to realize these savings.
•    Manages projects within triple constraint (scope, schedule, budget) and reports periodically on status of progress toward milestones/objectives, spending targets and forecasting and resource needs.
•    Works on problems of increasingly diverse scope; analysis of situation/data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
•    Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for resolving issues and obtaining solutions.
•    Receives little instruction from supervisors, general instructions on new assignments.
•    Drive the complete execution of assigned projects in a manner that drives high engagement from project team members.

III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Required

•    A minimum of 5 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical or related environment in an engineering, project or construction management related role
•    BS in Engineering, Science, Project/Program Management, or Management or equivalent experience
•    Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
•    Highly effective verbal and written communicator at all levels of the organization
•    Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and coordinate activities 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, 
•    Experience with Smartsheet, Procore or other similar project or construction management software applications is a plus
•    OTJ Experience with Project lifecycle best practices

U.S. Base Pay Ranges and Benefits Information

The estimated annual base salary as a new hire for this position ranges from $95,500 to $115,600. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.  Certain roles are eligible for additional incentive compensation, including merit increases, annual bonus, [and/or long-term incentives in the form of stock options.]
