JOB SUMMARY 

The National Account Manager, B2B plays a leading role in ensuring NARCAN® Nasal Spray is within arm’s reach to save the lives of employees and patrons in workplaces and spaces across North America. They will build strategic plans to establish relationships with national account decision-makers , and the broader health & safety community, building harm reduction solutions and driving long-term value-add partnerships. Execution of this strategy will incorporate the company’s go-to-market approach and include activities that support superior service and drive significant sales growth.  The National Account Manager works closely with internal and external business partners to support the company’s mission to protect, enhance and save lives.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plan through cold calls or company leads, to reach and exceed revenue objectives. 
  • Work alongside agency partners to identify prospects (top opportunities and early adopters) and manage sales funnel within defined industries. Develop and foster referral programs and industry organization partnerships to gather insights, build awareness and identify opportunities for defined industries.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers in prospective companies, partnering with Emergent leadership when appropriate, to elevate account engagement.
  • Partner with other business channels (Retail, Public Interest) to ensure understanding of customer fulfillment options and identify creative customer solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to identify actionable insights. Adjust sales strategies based on data and feedback to stay competitive, ensuring appropriate communication with business partners for consistent, high-quality approach.  
  • Consistent use of Salesforce CRM to manage and improve customer relationships.  Provide ongoing reporting of prospects through sales and progress reports, contributing to accurate sales forecasting across product line.
  • Attend trade events, shows and other customer events as needed to build awareness of NARCAN® Nasal Spray and educate on the state of the opioid crisis.
  • Successfully complete assigned product and process training.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, accompanied by over seven years of relevant sales experience (B2B/CPG/Pharma) with a demonstrated success record.
  • Experience with National Accounts or Corporate decision-makers with a track record of achieving and exceeding monthly sales goals.
  • Total solution selling expertise and proven ability to lead with brand value.
  • Teamwork skills and leadership capability to effectively interface and collaborate with other disciplines including operations, marketing, and finance.
  • Self-motivated, able to organize and prioritize projects.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks; demonstrated ability to successfully meet project timelines and goals in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with Salesforce or similar CRM experience.
  • Curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills to deliver superior customer service. Ability to develop and execute creative approach to customer-focused sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written communication, presentation skills and comfort with public speaking.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to rent a car.
  • Approximately 30% travel, including customer/partner meetings, trade shows/conferences and internal meetings (US and Canada).
  • Knowledge and experience selling in First Aid or Harm Reduction industry an asset.
  • Selling over the counter or medical products an asset.

 

U.S. Base Pay Ranges and Benefits Information

The estimated annual base salary as a new hire for this position ranges from $136,000 to $164,500. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.  Certain roles are eligible for additional incentive compensation, including merit increases, annual bonus, [and/or long-term incentives in the form of stock options.]
