Sr Manager, Human Resources

I.    JOB SUMMARY 

This role sits on the site leadership team and provides leadership of the HR function within their teams by delivering both strategic and tactical business leadership consultation.  Diagnoses client business issues and engages relevant HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure delivery of scalable and effective workforce solutions.  

II.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnering
•    Partner with site leadership to fully understand the business and offer HR solutions / strategies to support key initiatives. 
•    Serve as a liaison to connect business departments and HR functional areas by communicating HR initiatives/programs and nuanced business needs.
•    Engage client leaders on our Global/Regional/Local HR philosophy.
Talent Management 
•    Facilitate client engagement with Company talent acquisition, development, and engagement platforms & programs.
•    Participate in the candidate selection process with client leaders.
•    Consult with client leaders to help them sponsor and utilize leadership development resources with their teams.
•    Guide client groups through completion of annual performance management processes.
•    Guide leaders through annual succession and talent review processes.
•    Ensure workplace diversity investments and application of Affirmative Action Program requirements.
•    Assess future talent needs and implement proactive strategies to reach those needs.
•    Partner with client leaders on workforce and resource planning.
Employee Relations
•    Perform issue investigations, develop recommendations, engage cross-functional partners in Legal and Compliance as needed.
•    Handle complex employee relations issues tactfully, balancing business risks.  
•    Advise management regarding all employee terminations and oversee all aspects of employee termination process.  
Organization Development
•    Provide support to leaders regarding effective organizational and governance structures and changes.
•    Identify and work with client leadership team members to help them increase effectiveness in balancing functional, cross-functional, and enterprise-wide interests.
Compensation 
•    Partner with Talent Acquisition team to develop compensation offers for candidates.
•    Prepare and maintain salary adjustment recommendations to ensure they are in-line with Company salary structure and philosophy. 
•    Assess and address pay-for-performance & salary equity issues. 
•    Guide leaders through annual merit pay processes.
•    Participate on compensation projects in support of nuanced client needs and/or company-wide programs.
•    Ensure proper education and understanding of our key compensation philosophies and systems at the appropriate levels for leaders and individual contributors.
HR Policy Administration
•    Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.  
•    Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. 
•    Ensure line management is educated on HR procedures and policies. 
•    Recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
•    Participate in audits as needed to help ensure effective application of HR policies and programs.
General Duties 
Participate in special projects.
•    Maintain current human resources knowledge to ensure company compliance with federal, state and local laws related to employment. 
•    Ensure all HR documentation/administration is fully compliant per requirements.

III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Organization Development, Communications or related field. 
•    More than 5 years of broad-based HR experience preferably in a Business Partner role.
•    Must be able to operate in a matrix environment.
•    Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
•    Demonstrated capability to exercise sound judgment. 
•    Ability to execute in fast-paced environment.
•    Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment. 
•    Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization.
•    Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines. 
•    Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations. 
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
