Job Summary
Inspect and control the packaging operation by providing over inspection and line clearances
Responsibilities

• Over inspection of all packaging operations (i.e. visual inspection, labeling, assembly/cartoning)
• Assist in line clearance activities
• Perform reconciliation activities through verification of product and label counts
• Assist in dispensing of product for various packaging operations
• Dispense all labels to packaging operations
• Sampling as per ANSI standards for attribute testing (ANSI Z1.4)
• Manage retained sample program
• Involved in the revision of SOPs and batch records related to various packaging processes )
• Perform retained sample annual review for all retain product lots in inventory
• Supervision of work flow and product flow for WIP areas to the packaging operation
• Maintain label storage and control
• Handle disposition of all packaging defects and rejected materials
• Random sampling and collection of finished product; inspection and preparation of these samples for stability program, QC testing and regulatory lot release submission
• Maintain records of packaging inspections for trend purposes
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure work schedules are on track
• Assist in QA review of packaging batch records
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Skills
• Minimum Grade 12 (college diploma preferred)
• 3 years in the packaging environment preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Patience, attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of CGMPs
• Capability of working in a fast paced environment
• Ability to shift focus as needed
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Able to travel if required by the job
