Emergent BioSolutions is currently seeking an Intern, EFV for our Engineering, Facilities, Validation (Quality Systems) Department for our Winnipeg site. The successful candidate will be currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical diploma required. Must have basic knowledge of industry standards and best practices and must demonstrate the willingness to learn and develop. Experience with SAP and/or other related software is considered an asset.  In addition, this individual will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence and innovation.

Under the direction and guidance of our Engineering, Facilities, Validation Quality Systems team the Intern, Facilities & Maintenance will assist with equipment life cycle management improvements.




  • Play a key role in the equipment life cycle and administration improvement by
    • Creating and verifying equipment lists for inventory management, including offsite storage
    • Performing administrative updates in SAP to reflect current equipment status
    • Updating documentation in electronic document management system
    • Identifying and labelling of equipment in manufacturing and lab environments
    • Aid in organization and movement of equipment
    • Supporting facility resource planning and scheduling

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical diploma required.
  • Basic knowledge of industry standards and best practices required.
  • Previous related work experience will be considered an asset.
  • Experience with SAP and/or other related software is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Cooperative approach to teamwork with emphasis on successfully completing site goals and providing strong customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate willingness to learn and develop.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or related industry would be an asset.



  • Citizenship/Permanent Resident or Valid Work Permit.
  • Successful Completion of a Criminal Record Check.
